I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. Between warm, beachy days and the best street tacos, I found myself looking for patterns in all aspects of life. Everything from math to music to interpersonal relationships — you can find a line between every point if you have the right lens. It's only fitting I keep up the SoCal pattern studying Business, AI, and Analytics at the University of Southern California.
I lead 50+ students through a 16-week-long journey exploring the world of AI and machine learning for Professor Reza Jafarkhani's ITP 259 - Basics of Artificial Intelligence class. I support deep dives into TensorFlow, convolutional neural networks, and computer vision with weekly office hours, constructive grading, and project guidance.
I spent the summer getting hands-on with large language models with the Data Science & Machine Learning team. I spearheaded a variety of operational research projects ranging from parallelizing batched GPT API calls to exploring the effects of many-shot in-context-learning techniques on radiology protocol assessment to reach the levels of trained professionals.
